Greeters Ministry
Ministry of Help
"Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you." Philippians 4:21
Who Are We?
The New Life in Christ Interdenominational Church (NLC Church) Greeters Ministry was established in January 2003 under the leadership of Brother Kevin Pomeroy and Sister Marilyn Pomeroy. One team of at least 5 greeters is assigned to each Sunday worship service, and duties are rotated throughout the year. In April 2003, the NLC Church Greeter Ministry consisted of 6 teams of 5 greeters. By the end of 2003, when a decision was made to expand to two morning services, the NLC Church Greeter Ministry increased to 16 teams of 5 greeters...8 teams of 5 greeters devoted to the 8 am worship service and the remaining 8 teams of 5 greeters committed to the 11 am worship service.
Our Purpose
The purpose of Greeters Ministry is to welcome, receive, meet, recognize, speak to, and smile upon the Saints as they enter the worship facility for Sunday worship service. The Greeters Ministry duties include:
- Opening the doors to the worship facility and welcoming each Life Changer and Guests to NLC Church with handshake, hug, and the greeting proclamation “Good Morning, God Bless You!”
- Helping Flowers (Women), Children, and anyone who need special assistance out of their cars at the front entrance.
- Distributing information packages about NLC Church (Welcome Package) to first-time visitors.
- Providing directions to the sanctuary and to the locations of other auxiliary worship services such as Children’s Church, the Nursery, Teen/ Young Adult Services, and Sunday School.
- Handing out the church program and offering envelopes.
Regular Meetings
The Greeters Ministry meetings are held quarterly at the Home Town Buffet.
