Cares Circle

The National Cares Mentoring Movement, a call to action, which was founded in 2006 as Essence Cares by then editor Susan Taylor is making a difference nationwide. The CARES mentoring movement is a massive campaign to recruit one million able adults to help secure our children who are in peril and losing ground through mentoring.

Locally, Bishop Geoffrey Dudley has adopted it for the St. Louis Metro East Community forming our very own CARES Circle. It was launched on Saturday, November 13, 2010! There were over 400 people at the launch party, and over 50 mentors were recruited for our CARES Circle Members! The St. Louis Metro East CARES Circle is made up of different mentoring organizations. Mentor Recurrent events are held monthly to meet the overwhelming need for mentors in the Metro East.
